Course Overview

Tajweed literally means "doing something beautifully." When applied to the Quran, it means pronouncing every letter correctly from its articulation point (Makhraj) while applying all the grammatical rules of recitation.

If you or your child have completed the Noorani Qaida, this is the essential next step. Reciting without Tajweed can lead to major mistakes that alter the meaning of the verses. Our certified Qaris will listen to you, correct your mistakes, and teach you the theoretical rules alongside practical application.

What You Will Learn

Perfect articulation (Makharij) of complex Arabic letters.

Rules of Meem Sakinah and Noon Sakinah (Ghunnah, Ikhfa, Idgham).

The rules of Elongation (Madd) and when to apply them.

How and where to stop during recitation (Waqf).

Course Curriculum

Fixing heavy accents. Learning exactly where the tongue, lips, and throat should be placed to produce authentic Arabic sounds.

We begin reading the 30th chapter of the Quran. The teacher will focus heavily on correcting mistakes and introducing basic Tajweed rules like Qalqalah.

Mastery of Ikhfa, Idgham, Iqlab, and the various forms of Madd. By this stage, the student will be reciting smoothly and beautifully.
